The Vision of the Flying Scroll
1 I looked again, and this time I saw a scroll flying through the air. 2 The angel asked me what I saw. I answered, “A scroll flying through the air; it is thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide.”
3 Then he said to me, “On it is written the curse that is to go out over the whole land. On one side of the scroll it says that every thief will be removed from the land; and on the other side it says that everyone who tells lies under oath will also be taken away. 4 The Lord Almighty says that he will send this curse out, and it will enter the house of every thief and the house of everyone who tells lies under oath. It will remain in their houses and leave them in ruins.”
The Vision of the Woman in the Basket
5 The angel appeared again and said, “Look! Something else is coming!”
6 “What is it?” I asked.
He replied, “It is a basket, and it stands for the sin of the whole land.”
7 The basket had a lid made of lead. As I watched, the lid was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman!
8 The angel said, “This represents wickedness.” Then he pushed her down into the basket and put the lid back down. 9 I looked up and saw two women flying toward me with powerful wings like those of a stork. They picked up the basket and flew off with it.
10 I asked the angel, “Where are they taking it?”
11 He answered, “To Babylonia, where they will build a temple for it. When the temple is finished, the basket will be placed there to be worshiped.”
El rollo en vuelo
1 Levanté la mirada una vez más, y vi un rollo que volaba.
2 El ángel me preguntó:
«¿Qué es lo que ves?»
Y le respondí:
«Veo un rollo que vuela, de nueve metros de largo por cuatro y medio metros de ancho.»
3 Entonces el ángel me dijo:
«Esta es la maldición que caerá sobre toda la faz de la tierra. Todo el que hurta será destruido (como está escrito de un lado del rollo); y todo aquel que jura falsamente también será destruido (como está escrito del otro lado del rollo).
4 Yo he dejado caer esta maldición sobre la casa del ladrón, y sobre la casa del que en mi nombre jura falsamente; y en medio de su casa permanecerá, hasta consumirla con sus maderas y sus piedras.»

5 Luego el ángel que hablaba conmigo salió y me dijo:
«Levanta la vista ahora, y fíjate en lo que está saliendo.»
6 Yo dije:
«¿Qué cosa es?»
Y él me dijo:
«Esto que sale es una medida.»
Y añadió:
«Esta medida representa la iniquidad de ellos en toda la tierra.»
7 Entonces se levantó la tapa de plomo, y dentro de la medida estaba sentada una mujer.
8 El ángel dijo:
«Esta es la Maldad.»
Y dicho esto, arrojó a la mujer dentro de la medida, y enseguida cubrió esta con la tapa de plomo.
9 Levanté luego la mirada, y vi que dos mujeres salían, agitando el aire con sus alas, las cuales eran como de cigüeña. Las mujeres levantaron la medida entre la tierra y los cielos.
10 Yo le dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo:
«¿A dónde llevan la medida?»
11 Y él me respondió:
«La llevan a Babilonia, donde le edificarán un templo. En cuanto lo edifiquen, pondrán la medida sobre una base.»
