The Division of the Land among the Tribes
1-7 The northern boundary of the land runs eastward from the Mediterranean Sea to the city of Hethlon, to Hamath Pass, to Enon City, to the boundary between the kingdoms of Damascus and Hamath. Each tribe is to receive one section of land extending from the eastern boundary west to the Mediterranean Sea, in the following order from north to south:

8 The next section of the land is to be set apart for special use. It is to be 10 miles wide from north to south, and the same length from east to west as the sections given to the tribes. The Temple will be located within this section.
9 In the center of this section, a special area 10 miles by 8 miles is to be dedicated to the Lord. 10 The priests are to have a portion of this holy area. From east to west their portion is to measure 10 miles, and from north to south, 4 miles. The Temple of the Lord is to be located in the middle of this area. 11 This holy area is to be for the priests who are descendants of Zadok. They served me faithfully and did not join the rest of the Israelites in doing wrong, as the other members of the tribe of Levi did. 12 So they are to have a special area next to the area belonging to the Levites, and it will be the holiest of all. 13 The Levites also are to have a special area, south of that of the priests. It too is to be 10 miles from east to west, by 4 miles from north to south. 14 The area dedicated to the Lord is the best part of all the land, and none of it may be sold or exchanged or transferred to anyone else. It is holy and belongs to the Lord.
15 The part of the special area that is left, 10 miles by 2 miles, is not holy, but is for the general use of the people. They may live there and use the land. The city is to be in the center of it, 16 and it will be a square, 2,520 yards on each side. 17 All around the city on each side there will be an open space 140 yards across. 18 The land that is left after the city has been built in the area immediately to the south of the holy area—4 miles by 2 miles on the east and 4 miles by 2 miles on the west—is to be used as farmland by the people who live in the city. 19 Anyone who lives in the city, no matter which tribe he comes from, may farm that land.
20 And so the total area in the center of the section which was set apart will be a square measuring 10 miles on each side, and it will include the area occupied by the city.
21-22 To the east and to the west of this area which contains the Temple, the priests' land, the Levites' land, and the city, the remaining land belongs to the ruling prince. It reaches east to the eastern boundary and west to the Mediterranean Sea, and is bounded on the north by the section belonging to Judah and on the south by the one belonging to Benjamin.
Land for the Other Tribes
23-27 South of this special section, each of the remaining tribes is to receive one section of land running from the eastern boundary west to the Mediterranean Sea, in the following order from north to south:
BenjaminSimeonIssacharZebulunGad28 On the south side of the portion given to the tribe of Gad, the boundary runs southwest from Tamar to the oasis of Kadesh, and then northwest along the Egyptian border to the Mediterranean Sea.
29 The Sovereign Lord said, “That is the way the land is to be divided into sections for the tribes of Israel to possess.”
The Gates of Jerusalem
30-34 There are twelve entrances to the city of Jerusalem. Each of the four walls measures 2,520 yards and has three gates in it, each named for one of the tribes. The gates in the north wall are named for Reuben, Judah, and Levi; those in the east wall, for Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan; those in the south wall, for Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun; and those in the west wall are named for Gad, Asher, and Naphtali. 35 The total length of the wall on all four sides of the city is 10,080 yards. The name of the city from now on will be “The-Lord-Is-Here!”
1 Estos son los nombres de las tribus: Dan tendrá una parte desde el lado oriental hasta el occidental, del extremo norte, por la vía de Jetlón en dirección a Jamat, Jasar Enán, en los confines de Damasco, al norte, hacia Jamat.
2 Aser tendrá una parte junto a la frontera de Dan, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
3 Neftalí tendrá su parte junto al límite de Aser, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
4 Manasés tendrá su parte junto al límite de Neftalí, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
5 Efraín tendrá su parte junto al límite de Manasés, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
6 Rubén tendrá su parte junto al límite de Efraín, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
7 Judá tendrá su parte junto al límite de Rubén, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
8 Junto al límite de Judá, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar, estará la porción que reservarán de ocho mil metros de ancho, y de largo como cualquiera de las otras partes, es decir, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar. En medio de ella estará el santuario.
9 La porción que ustedes reservarán para el Señor tendrá ocho mil metros de largo y tres mil metros de ancho.
10 La porción consagrada a los sacerdotes será de ocho mil metros al norte, de tres mil metros de ancho al occidente, de tres mil metros de ancho al oriente, y de ocho mil metros de largo al sur; en medio de ella estará el santuario del Señor.
11 Los sacerdotes consagrados de los hijos de Sadoc que me han sido fieles y no erraron como los levitas, cuando erraron los hijos de Israel,
12 tendrán como porción santísima la porción de tierra reservada junto al límite de la porción de los levitas.
13 Y la porción de los levitas, al lado de los límites de la porción de los sacerdotes, será de ocho mil metros de largo por tres mil metros de ancho; todo el largo será de ocho mil metros, y el ancho será de tres mil metros.
14 De esa porción no venderán nada, ni la permutarán, ni traspasarán las primicias de la tierra; porque es una porción consagrada al Señor.
15 Los mil quinientos metros de ancho que quedan de los ocho mil, serán profanos, para uso de la ciudad, para habitación y para ejido; y en medio estará la ciudad.
16 Estas serán sus medidas: por el lado norte, mil quinientos metros; por el lado sur, mil quinientos metros; por el lado oriental, mil quinientos metros; y por el lado occidental, mil quinientos metros.
17 Al norte, el ejido de la ciudad será de ochenta metros; al sur, de ochenta metros; al oriente, de ochenta metros; y al occidente, de ochenta metros.
18 Y lo que quede del largo delante de la porción santa, es decir, los tres mil metros al oriente y los tres mil metros al occidente que quedarán de la porción santa, será para que siembren allí los que sirvan a la ciudad.
19 Y los que sirvan a la ciudad serán de todas las tribus de Israel.
20 Toda la porción cuadrada reservada de ocho mil metros por cada lado, la reservarán ustedes como porción para el santuario y como propiedad de la ciudad.
21 Para el príncipe será lo que quede a uno y otro lado de la porción santa y de la propiedad de la ciudad, es decir, delante de los ocho mil metros de la porción hasta el límite oriental, y al occidente delante de los ocho mil metros hasta el límite occidental. Estas partes mencionadas serán del príncipe; serán una porción consagrada, y el santuario del templo estará en medio de ella.
22 De este modo la porción del príncipe será la comprendida a partir de la porción de los levitas y la porción de la ciudad, entre el límite de Judá y el límite de Benjamín.
23 En cuanto a las demás tribus, Benjamín tendrá una porción desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
24 Simeón tendrá otra porción junto al límite de Benjamín, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
25 Isacar tendrá otra porción junto al límite de Simeón, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
26 Zabulón tendrá otra porción junto al límite de Isacar, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
27 Gad tendrá otra porción junto al límite de Zabulón, desde el lado oriental hasta la costa del mar.
28 Junto al límite de Gad, por el lado sur, el límite será desde Tamar hasta las aguas de Meriba, y desde Cadés y el arroyo hasta el Mar Grande.
29 Esta es la tierra que ustedes repartirán por sorteo como herencia de las tribus de Israel, y estas son sus porciones.
—Palabra de Dios el Señor.30 Estas son las salidas de la ciudad: Por el lado norte, la medida será de mil quinientos metros.
31 Las puertas de la ciudad serán las mismas que los nombres de las tribus de Israel. Las tres puertas al norte serán las puertas de Rubén, Judá y Leví.
32 Por el lado oriental medirá mil quinientos metros, con tres puertas: la de José, la de Benjamín y la de Dan.
33 Por el lado sur, medirá mil quinientos metros, con tres puertas: la de Simeón, la de Isacar, y la de Zabulón.
34 Por el lado occidental, medirá mil quinientos metros, con tres puertas: la de Gad, la de Aser, y la de Neftalí.
35 Alrededor medirá seis mil metros, y a partir de ese día el nombre de la ciudad será «El Señor está allí».
