A Hymn of Praise
1 Praise the Lord!
Sing a new song to the Lord;
praise him in the assembly of his faithful people!
2 Be glad, Israel, because of your Creator;
rejoice, people of Zion, because of your king!
3 Praise his name with dancing;
play drums and harps in praise of him.
4 The Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he honors the humble with victory.
5 Let God's people rejoice in their triumph
and sing joyfully all night long.
6 Let them shout aloud as they praise God,
with their sharp swords in their hands
7 to defeat the nations
and to punish the peoples;
8 to bind their kings in chains,
their leaders in chains of iron;
9 to punish the nations as God has commanded.
This is the victory of God's people.

Aleluya.
1 ¡Canten al Señor un cántico nuevo!
¡Alábenlo en la comunidad de los justos!
2 ¡Que Israel se alegre en su creador!
¡Que los hijos de Sión se regocijen por su Rey!
3 ¡Que dancen en honor a su nombre!
¡Que le canten al son de arpas y panderos!
4 El Señor se complace en su pueblo,
y bendice a los humildes con su salvación.
5 ¡Que se alegren sus fieles por su triunfo!
¡Que salten de alegría allí, en su lecho!
6 ¡Que exalten a Dios a voz en cuello
mientras agitan en sus manos las espadas!
7 ¡Que se venguen de todas las naciones!
¡Que castiguen a todos los pueblos!
8 ¡Que sujeten a sus reyes con grilletes,
y a sus jefes con cadenas de hierro!
9 ¡Que ejecuten en ellos la sentencia escrita!
Esto será motivo de alegría para los fieles.
