Los juicios de Jehová son ineludibles
1 Vi al Señor que estaba sobre el altar, y dijo: Derriba el capitel, y estremézcanse las puertas, y hazlos pedazos sobre la cabeza de todos; y al postrero de ellos mataré a espada; no habrá de ellos quien huya, ni quien escape.
2 Aunque cavasen hasta el Seol, de allá los tomará mi mano; y aunque subieren hasta el cielo, de allá los haré descender. 3 Si se escondieren en la cumbre del Carmelo, allí los buscaré y los tomaré; y aunque se escondieren de delante de mis ojos en lo profundo del mar, allí mandaré a la serpiente y los morderá. 4 Y si fueren en cautiverio delante de sus enemigos, allí mandaré la espada, y los matará; y pondré sobre ellos mis ojos para mal, y no para bien.
5 El Señor, Jehová de los ejércitos, es el que toca la tierra, y se derretirá, y llorarán todos los que en ella moran; y crecerá toda como un río, y mermará luego como el río de Egipto. 6 Él edificó en el cielo sus cámaras, y ha establecido su expansión sobre la tierra; él llama las aguas del mar, y sobre la faz de la tierra las derrama; Jehová es su nombre.
7 Hijos de Israel, ¿no me sois vosotros como hijos de etíopes, dice Jehová? ¿No hice yo subir a Israel de la tierra de Egipto, y a los filisteos de Caftor, y de Kir a los arameos? 8 He aquí los ojos de Jehová el Señor están contra el reino pecador, y yo lo asolaré de la faz de la tierra; mas no destruiré del todo la casa de Jacob, dice Jehová.
9 Porque he aquí yo mandaré y haré que la casa de Israel sea zarandeada entre todas las naciones, como se zarandea el grano en una criba, y no cae un granito en la tierra. 10 A espada morirán todos los pecadores de mi pueblo, que dicen: No se acercará, ni nos alcanzará el mal.
Restauración futura de Israel
11 En aquel día yo levantaré el tabernáculo caído de David, y cerraré sus portillos y levantaré sus ruinas, y lo edificaré como en el tiempo pasado; 12 para que aquellos sobre los cuales es invocado mi nombre posean el resto de Edom, y a todas las naciones, dice Jehová que hace esto.
13 He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que el que ara alcanzará al segador, y el pisador de las uvas al que lleve la simiente; y los montes destilarán mosto, y todos los collados se derretirán. 14 Y traeré del cautiverio a mi pueblo Israel, y edificarán ellos las ciudades asoladas, y las habitarán; plantarán viñas, y beberán el vino de ellas, y harán huertos, y comerán el fruto de ellos. 15 Pues los plantaré sobre su tierra, y nunca más serán arrancados de su tierra que yo les di, ha dicho Jehová Dios tuyo.
Judgment on Israel
1 I saw a vision of the Lord
standing by the temple altar,
and he said,
“Shake the columns
until the tops fall loose,
and the doorposts crumble.
Then make the pieces fall
on the people below.
I will take a sword and kill
anyone who escapes.
2 “If they dig deep into the earth
or climb to the sky,
I'll reach out and get them.
3 If they escape to the peaks
of Mount Carmel,
I'll search and find them.
And if they hide from me
at the bottom of the ocean,
I'll command a sea monster
to bite them.
4 I'll send a sword to kill them,
wherever their enemies
drag them off as captives.
I'm determined to hurt them,
not to help them.”
His Name Is the Lord
5 When the Lord God All-Powerful
touches the earth, it melts,
and its people mourn.
God makes the earth rise
and then fall,
just like the Nile River.
6 He built his palace in the heavens
and let its foundations
rest on the earth.
He scoops up the ocean
and empties it on the earth.
His name is the Lord.
The Lord Is God
7 Israel, I am the Lord God,
and the Ethiopians
are no less important to me
than you are.
I brought you out of Egypt,
but I also brought
the Philistines from Crete
and the Arameans from Kir.
8 My eyes have seen
what a sinful nation you are,
and I'll wipe you out.
But I will leave a few
of Jacob's descendants.
I, the Lord, have spoken!
9 At my command, all of you
will be sifted like grain.
Israelites who remain faithful
will be scattered
among the nations.
And the others will be trapped
like trash in a sifter.
10 Some of you are evil,
and you deny
that you will ever get caught.
But you will be killed.
The Lord's Promise to Israel

In the future, I will rebuild
David's fallen kingdom.
I will build it from its ruins
and set it up again,
just as it used to be.
12 Then you will capture Edom
and the other nations
that are mine.
I, the Lord, have spoken,
and my words will come true.
13 You will have such a harvest
that you won't be able
to bring in all of your wheat
before plowing time.
You will have grapes left over
from season to season;
your fruitful vineyards
will cover the mountains.
14 I'll make Israel prosper again.
You will rebuild your towns
and live in them.
You will drink wine
from your own vineyards
and eat the fruit you grow.
15 I'll plant your roots deep
in the land I have given you,
and you won't ever
be uprooted again.
I, the Lord God, have spoken!
